• I have several years experience of working as an educational researcher on participatory research projects in higher education. Often including the development and use of educational technologies to support teaching and learning.
  • My background is in the Biological Sciences and I have made the transition from being a practitioner researcher to being an educational researcher associated with many different disciplines.
  • After completing my PhD in Plant Signaling I became a researcher for the Plant Sciences Pedagogy Project as part of the Cambridge-MIT Institute’s Teaching for Learning Network, which was awarded first prize in the 16+ settings category for the BERA/SAGE publications research into practice award in 2007. The publications for TfLN have been organised into an Exhibit by Katy Jordan.
  • I am currently working as a research associate on the ESRC and EPSRC TEL programme funded ENSEMBLE project (Semantic Technologies for the Enhancement of Case Based Learning), which spans multiple institutions and several different disciplinary settings.
